Frontier Touring are excited to announce that after being forced to postpone their highly anticipated national tour earlier this month, Hoodoo Gurus with very special guests The Dandy Warhols (US) have officially rescheduled their 40th Anniversary Tour to September 2022. Opening proceedings in Brisbane and Sydney will be The Buoys, Even in Melbourne and Adelaide, Gnarlhünd in Hobart and Rinehearts in Perth.

Dave Faulkner of Hoodoo Gurus says: “We just want to offer our heartfelt thanks to Frontier Touring, as well as the The Dandy Warhols and their management. Our last-minute COVID emergency put everyone in a “World Of Pain” (shameless plug) and it took a small army of people working overtime to get this tour back on track. We are incredibly grateful for all your hard work. We also want to thank everyone who has been holding on to their tickets in expectation of today’s announcement (#keepyourtickets). Thanks for your patience - we promise you that the wait will be worth it. See you in September.”

Frontier Touring are excited to announce show openers on the Hoodoo Gurus upcoming 40th Anniversary Tour in April 2022.  Opening proceedings in Sydney will be The Buoys, Even in Adelaide and Melbourne and Rinehearts in Perth.  Very special guests The Dandy Warhols will be joining on all shows.
 
THE BUOYS – The all-female Sydney indie rock 4-piece; Courtney Cunningham (bass guitar), Hilary Geddes (lead guitar), Tess Wilkin (drums) and founding mainstay, Zoe Catterall (rhythm guitar and lead vocals), will perform at both Sydney Hordern Pavilion shows on Tuesday 12 April (sold out) and Wednesday 13 April.  Known for exploring themes of uncertainty, disappointment, curiosity and determination, The Buoys music is inspired by workplace feuds, people who walk slowly in front of you and a tonne of bad dates.  The band have shared three EPS since forming, most recently releasing: Unsolicited Advice for Your DIY Disaster (2021); which features the singles Lie  To Me Again, Bad Habit and Drive Me Home. After truly settling into their sound and slaying regular touring, you can expect fiery anthems and heart-jerking tunes alike, all wrapped up into one high energy set.  
 
EVEN – Indie-Rock three-piece Even will be joining the Gurus at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre on Tuesday 5 April and in Melbourne on Wednesday 6 April at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Even is made up of Ashley Naylor on guitar and vocals, bassist Wally Kempton and drummer Matthew Cotter and each of the trio are unashamedly influenced by the classic pop/rock of the 60’s and 70’s. With eight studio albums under their belt including Less Is More (1996), Come Again (1998), A Different High (2001), Free Kicks (2004), self titled Even in 2007, In Another Time (2011), Satin Returns (2018), and their most recent release in 2021, Reverse Light Years. Our first taste of Reverse Light Years came in the form of singles ‘Six Monkeys’ and ‘Cherry Afterglow’ before the album was released on 31 October 2021.

RINEHEARTS – Perth indie-pop rock three-piece Rinehearts Ben Wards (guitar and vocal), Mitch Long (bass) and Ross Di Blasio (bass) will open for the Hoodoo Gurus Belvoir Ampitheatre Perth show on Saturday 2 April, the opening night on the 40th Anniversary Tour.  Rinehearts came together in 2016, with the purpose of exploring the members’ mutual love of power pop-styled music. They are frequently compared to the likes of The Replacements and Reigning Sound; to which you might wanna add the likes of Teenage Fanclub, Shoes and some pure power pop projects – like the DM3 or the Someloves.  Over the years, Rinehearts have delivered Can’t Do Nothing, You Don’t Have To Lie, I’m Not There and their latest One Thing One Time.
 
Touring in support of the 40th Anniversary of their first live show in 1981 plus the release of their latest single/video Carry On (out today via EMI Music), Hoodoo Gurus are planning big things for 2022, including the release of their forthcoming 10th studio album, with details to be announced very soon. Written just before COVID hit, Carry On is about pushing forward through difficulties and an anthem celebrating resilience and tenacity.  Carry On will also be released as a limited edition 7” vinyl single including a bonus ‘B’ side, When The Weekend Comes.

Frontier Touring wishes to advise that due to the uncertainty around border closures and current COVID restrictions across and into Australia, Hoodoo Gurus upcoming December 40th Anniversary Tour will be rescheduled for April 2022, including the addition of a Hobart show.

A new show at Hobart* City Hall for Saturday 9 April has just been added to the 40th Anniversary Tour with general public tickets on-sale Friday 8 October from 10am local.  Tickets via oztix.com.au

Due to overwhelming pre-sale demand, Frontier Touring are excited to announce the legendary Australian rock group Hoodoo Gurus have added a second and final Sydney show at the Hordern Pavilion on Sunday 5 December as part of their 40^th Anniversary tour.  Tickets for this newly announced show and all other shows are on sale tomorrow, Friday 28 May from 2pm AEST. 

The newly announced Sydney show will see Hoodoo Gurus hitting the road now playing six shows across Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth in support of their 40^th Anniversary since their first live show in 1981 plus the release of their new single World Of Pain (out now via UMA).   With special guests, iconic US indie-darlings, The Dandy Warhols, on the bill, this is a stellar line-up you won’t want to miss.

The Gurus kick off the tour at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Wednesday 1 December, before heading to Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday 3 December. Next up is Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Saturday 4 December, before a second show at Hordern Pavillion on Sunday 5 December, the group will then head across to Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre on Thursday 9 December, and close out the tour at Perth at the Belvoir Amphitheatre on Saturday December 11.

Joining the Gurus for the anniversary tour are US indie band, The Dandy Warhols. Hailing from the US and known worldwide for mega hits like ‘Bohemian Like You’ and pop culture classic, ‘We Used To Be Friends’, the band recently celebrated their own 25th anniversary in 2019. From countless global tours, to playing to over 100,000 punters at the 2000 Glastonbury Festival and even taking to the stage during the Greek riots, the Warhols are no stranger to putting on a show.
