Didirri

Didirri

Didirri, his sound and general character is a blend of nostalgia and modern escapades with a promise of something  completely of its own class. In person, as a songwriter and as a performer, he possesses a  disarming charisma that you’ll find yourself gravitating towards. Drawn into his vortex of unapologetic storytelling, often  punctuated with seductive selfdepreciating humour  he’s bound to win you over.

Cub Sport

Cub Sport

Cub Sport are an independent pop group from Brisbane, Australia. In 2016, the quartet released their debut album ‘This Is Our Vice’ and won over audiences internationally with their unique brand of emotionally-charged pop.The record received worldwide acclaim, including airplay on Triple j, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, BBC London and Amazing Radio as well as a swag of US stations such as KEXP and WXPN. Cub Sport are now launching into the next phase of their career with their sophomore album, ‘BATS’. The group has cemented themselves as one to watch internationally with lead single “O Lord” premiering with glowing reviews on The Fader and receiving similarly high praises from media outlets such as i_D and Pedestrian worldwide.

ANNOUNCES NATION OF TWO WORLD TOUR

and JACK RIVER (Melbourne, 8 Sep show only)

2ND MELBOURNE & BRISBANE SHOWS ADDED!
Visit TOUR DATES & TICKETING for more info.

Following the release of his hotly-anticipated sophomore album, Nation of Two (out now via Liberation Records), and alongside the announcement of a colossal run of international tour dates, Frontier Touring is pleased to reveal that Vance Joy will be heading out on a national tour this September. Presented by triple j, the Nation of Two World Tour will see Vance Joy take on Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre, Brisbane’s Riverstage and Perth’s Fremantle Arts Centre this spring.

The Nation of Two World Tour will see the artist hit some of his biggest stages to date, with his trusty band in tow. Opening proceedings at each show will be Brisbane indie pop darlings Cub Sport and Melbourne singer/songwriter Didirri.

In anticipation of the release of Nation of Two and to coincide with the tour announcement, Vance Joy has revealed a new track; the hauntingly beautiful album opener ‘Call If You Need Me’ alongside a stunning clip. ‘Call If You Need Me’ features Vance Joy’s trademark visual lyrics, painting pictures of fluorescent lights and conversations through foggy shower glass. The clip, which features Vance Joy in a beautiful, stripped-back setting, was shot by Mimi Cave who also shot the videos for ‘Lay It On Me’ and ‘We’re Going Home’.

Vance Joy kicked off album release month by treating fans to another album preview on February 1, revealing the bright and uplifting ‘Saturday Sun’. Similar to ‘We’re Going Home’, ‘Saturday Sun’ is accompanied by a visual lyric video penned by Vance Joy himself. The track is proving an instant fan favourite having been streamed 1 million times in its first 5  days! ‘Call If You Need Me’ and ‘Saturday Sun’ join ‘Lay It On Me’, ‘Like Gold’, and ‘We’re Going Home’ as instant downloads on album pre-orders. All five tracks can be heard right now on streaming services.

Just over a month in and 2018 is establishing itself as a huge year for Vance Joy. ‘We’re Going Home’ is sitting on over 5.5 million streams and was most added to radio during it’s week of release. Both ‘We’re Going Home’ and ‘Lay It On Me’ are sitting in the top 100 in the ARIA Singles Chart this week at #55 and #47 respectively. ‘Lay It On Me’ is certified twice Platinum, has been streamed over 50 million times and came in at a very impressive #9 in the triple j Hottest 100 on January 27. Three of the five tracks released so far also sit very nicely in the Top 100 on iTunes with ‘We’re Going Home’ a very healthy #22. Vance Joy was also the cover star of Rolling Stone Australia for January – sadly its final cover!

Nation of Two, the follow up to his critically-acclaimed debut dream your life away, is out via Liberation Records in Australia and New Zealand, and Atlantic Records throughout the rest of the world.
