Asha Jefferies
BRISBANE SHOW ONLY
Asha Jefferies creates revealing music. It’s the revealing nature of these stories that finds her at odds with her dual identities; an intimate songwriter and a maturing woman. From the tend age of thirteen Asha has been writing candid songs that detail the feelings and moments of her life in a warm attempt to hold those memories forever.
Rising to national attention at such a young age with her goosebump-inducing single Honey, Save Me From My Falsehoods, Asha has earned the love of national broadcaster triple j with Richard Kingsmill praising her unique ability to craft ‘simple songs’ that ‘command attention’.
Delivering live performances that envelop and connect audiences, she’s shared the stage with childhood inspiration Ella Hooper, and dear friends the Pierce Brothers. Worked alongside mentor Aaron Shanahan of Miami Horror, and received nominations from the Queensland Music Awards. Most impressive of all, before the age of 15, Asha entranced audiences at Woodford Folk Festival, Mullum Music Festival and Byron Bay Bluesfest.
