For the Sydneysider, the line that separates where she ends and Sloan Peterson begins is a blurry one. Although only 24, Sloan Peterson is the second band that she has formed and fronted. She spent years recording music through her laptop, filming homemade music videos, sifting through dusty records searching for lost gems with friends and lovers as they they came and went from her life. It was there she started her previous band Black Zeros and began making a name for herself. Now, as Sloan Peterson; a love child of 50’s guitar pop and modern garage rock,bursting with a warmth that’s inseparable from her private identity. Influenced by everything from Elvis, to Wanda Jackson or the fashion statements of Nancy Sinatra and Bowie - Sloan Peterson is the sum of these influences that adds up to so much more. Her debut, self-titled EP ‘Midnight Love’ is out now through Mirror Records.

Theia emerged in 2016 with her debut single ‘Roam’. It went on to become one of the biggest songs released by a New Zealand artist in 2016, entering Spotify’s viral Global chart as well as viral charts in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. It has since been streamed more than 12.5 million times on Spotify. In June 2017 Theia released her debut EP, which included the singles ‘ Champagne Supernova ’ and ‘Treat You ’.Theia will release new music throughout 2018, including the just-released 'Bye Bye', a track co-written with the legendary Mike Elizondo (Eminem, Dre, Snoop), Australian hip-hop artist L-FRESH The LION and Kiwi singer-songwriter Vince Harder and produced by Tony Buchen.

Portugal. The Man are continuing to take the world by storm as Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce that the Alaskan juggernaut is set to perform a series of Groovin’ The Moo sideshows, playing headline shows along Australia’s East Coast as well as a one-off show in Auckland!

After running at incredible pace of an album a year, the band took some time, maybe too long.  They tired and got dismayed with the recordings and then decided to discard the whole album.  Starting fresh with the goal of making something more appropriate for the times we live in, they started and completed Woodstock in just a couple months.

As their most socially conscious music to date, the band found inspiration following lead singer John Gourley’s trip home to Wasilla, Alaska where he encountered a combination of parental tough love from his old man and his original ticket stub from the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. Breaking free from the musical difficulties they’d faced over recent years, the band set out in the same tradition of bands from the Woodstock era, feeling inspired to speak out about the world crumbling around them.

Working with John Hill (In the Mountain in the Cloud), Danger Mouse (Evil Friends), Mike D (Everything Cool) and long time collaborator Casey Bates (the one consistent producer since the first record), the album has been met with huge success, having peaked at # 3 on Billboard’s US Top Alternative Albums chart.

Woodstock features massive, Grammy award-winning single ‘Feel It Still’, which reached 3x ARIA Platinum, peaked at #5 on the ARIA charts and came in at #26 on triple j’s Hottest 100 for 2017. Adding to their global presence, new single ‘Live In The Moment’ is currently sitting at more than 7 million views on YouTube and at #1 on Triple A and alternative radio in the United States, following a performance of the track on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The band is also set to appear at Coachella Music and Arts Festival.

Returning to Australian shores for the first time since 2014 where they played Laneway Festival and had a national run of 22 shows, the American heavyweights will certainly be challenging Aussie audiences to get on their feet this May when they take their latest album and a collection of hot favourites out on the road!
