CRAIG LOW brings his hit show 'Name Dropping With Lowie' to Melbourne International Comedy Festival
Jan 05, 2018Award-winning Australian comedian, TV host, radio host and writer Craig ‘Lowie’ Low is bringing his hit stage show Name Dropping With Lowie to Melbourne International Comedy Festival for it’s Australian debut after a sold out run at LA’s esteemed Improv Comedy Club. Lowie will appear at Hairy Little Sista from Thursday 29 March - Sunday 22 April.
How did he ruin Kanye West’s dinner? What did Russell Crowe give him for his birthday? Why did Hanson want to fight him? Find out all this and more in Name Dropping With Lowie. With over 15 years on radio and TV in Australia and the US, Lowie has had plenty of terrible celebrity encounters – and in his hit show he brings them to life like you've never seen before.
‘You will laugh, you will cry, you will embrace the stranger sitting next to you. This show is a joyride.’ - LATF USA (US)
Lowie has hosted numerous TV shows including FOX8’s CD Live and Road To Rock Star, as well as Channel 9’s Ralph TV, and featured on channels such as MTV, Fox, Nickelodeon, The Comedy Channel and all major free to air networks. He has won numerous awards for his nationally syndicated radio shows Today Network’s Lowie’s Hot 30 Countdown (which was the #1 nationally syndicated night show 3 years in a row), Nova’s Lowie’s Super Awesome Mega Mega Show and Southern Cross Austereo’s Lowie vs America.
In 2012 Lowie moved to America to focus on his comedy career and has since written for NBC on numerous projects for the E! Network. In America, Lowie studied at the world-famous improv comedy school, Chicago’s Second City (where the likes of John Belushi, Bill Murray, Tina Fey made their starts), as well as the University of California, Berkeley. He’s a regular at all major comedy venues including The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store and the LA Improv where this show sells out regularly.
Lowie made his US TV Debut on Fox’s stand up comedy series Laughs, and in 2015 was cast as a season regular on MTV's comedy series Joking Off whilst also signing with Australia’s iHeartRadio and KIISFM for his own show titled Lowie Live. Lowie can next be seen on season 4 of MTV's Joking Off and has just been added to KIIS network’s national line up for 2018 in a new night entertainment show Celeb HQ. Don’t miss Lowie live on stage in his Australian comedy festival debut!
