THE WUDIDONGA ARTS REVUE | Award-winning comedians bring cult hit back to Adelaide Fringe!
Dec 01, 2016The stars of hit parodies Wolf Creek The Musical & The Sound of Nazis are back! In 2016, Fringe World Best Comedy Nominee Kel Balnaves and Adelaide Comedian of the Year Leigh Qurban joined forces to create one of the most bizarre comedy shows to ever hit Fringe - The Wudidonga Arts Revue.
★★★★ - The Advertiser
★★★★ - Rip It Up
★★★★ - The Clothesline
The show quickly became a cult hit, grabbing glowing reviews and leaving audiences in stitches and completely flummoxed as they tried to figure out what they had just witnessed (and why that bloke was wearing salami undies!) Now in 2017 Kel and Leigh are back with crowd favourite The Wudidonga Arts Revue by popular demand.
‘To put this show into a succinct summary would be impossible – it’s mad, deranged, grotesque and utterly hilarious neo-comedy. It’s so funny the people around me were doubled over in laughter...this is an hour of utter absurdity.’ - TREv
Welcome to the Wudidonga RSL. Something dodgy is going on. One of the board members has lost all their money on the dogs again. If this gets out, shit is going to hit the fan. How the hell are they going to sort this out? Easy! Put on an Arts Revue and raise money. Get the locals to perform. They’re a talented bunch. We’ll even have a raffle. Get along and support. It’s all for a good cause. A mad and bizarre sketch comedy created by Wolf Creek The Musical’s Kel Balnaves and The Sound of Nazi’s Leigh Qurban. Tickets are sure to sell fast to the encore performance of this unpredictable crowd pleaser, get in quick!
