Tour Release

The Frontier Touring Company is pleased to announce the return of The All-American Rejects to Australia this August. Very special guests at all shows will be US rockers Hoobastank and Adelaide’s own The Sundance Kids. Already confirmed as must-see events for the year, The All-American Rejects, Hoobastank and The Sundance Kids will perform in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Shooting to prominence in 2005, The All-American Rejects have fast established themselves as one of music’s most-loved bands. A succession of hit singles including ‘Move Along’, ‘Swing Swing’ and ‘Dirty Little Secret’ saw the band catapult onto the world stage, and they haven’t looked back since.

The release of their third album, When the World Comes Down, spawned their biggest single to date – ‘Gives You Hell’ – which reached #3 on the Australian ARIA chart and achieved platinum certification, ensuring The All-American Rejects are a household name. When the World Comes Down has been The All-American Rejects’ best received album of their career. The album saw the band scale new heights while maintaining the pop-punk base Rejects fans have come to love.

Alternative Press described the album most appropriately, declaring: “While World is simply a fun pop record at its core, the effort, time and most importantly, experience… that went into its making clearly sets AAR apart from newer bands who keep attempting to capture this same sound with much less ambition.”

Last here in February as they supported Fall Out Boy across the country, The All-American Rejects make their highly anticipated return to headline their biggest shows to date in Australia. Their overflowing energy, and enigmatic stage presence left fans begging for more, and the critics in awe of their unforgettable performances:

“…the band worked the big stage with plenty of overblown, Motley Crue-inspired moves, making them a lot of fun to watch” – Drum Media

“Keeping the musicianship at its highest but still utilizing the expanse the of the stage frontman Tyson Ritter does an admirable job of a Freddy Mercury impersonation when not holstering the bass…” – Time Off

“an odd and oddly transfixing mix of ‘70s LA glam rock and ‘90s pop punk” – Inpress

“…from start to finish, they did not disappoint” – FasterLouder

Hoobastank will make a welcomed return to Australia as special guests at all shows. Already well known for their chart-topping singles ‘The Reason’ and ‘Crawling In The Dark’, Hoobastank are currently climbing the charts with the anthemic ‘The Letter’ - the first single taken from Hoobastank’s forthcoming album For(N)ever (in stores July 3). 2009’s return will see Hoobastank back on our shores for the first time since their highly successful 2007 tour.

For(N)ever signals a new era for Hoobastank. After a myriad of successes over the last decade - including tours with Incubus, multiple sold out Australian tours, Grammy nominations and millions of record sales - when it came time to record For(N)ever the band knew it was time to challenge themselves. Drawing on more inspiration than ever before, For(N)ever has seen Hoobastank outgrow earlier influences, throw away the formula and produce the record of their career.

Adelaide’s The Sundance Kids have been selected to open the shows in all cities. As single ‘Solutions’ currently rides the airwaves around Australia, The Sundance Kids have been hard at work recording their debut album and touring the nation. Set for release this August, The Sundance Kids’ debut album is a collection of dynamic rock tracks set alongside pop hooks and aspirational vocals. Set to soar high this year, it’s the perfect time to join The Sundance Kids team – it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the country does, too.

As two of the most in-demand rock bands in the world tour together and take one of Australia’s brightest young bands along for the ride, there’s no doubt tickets will sell out.

Tickets on sale Friday 19 June.
