"Bar none, he's the best singer I've heard in rock 'n' roll.
He's also the greatest white soul singer." - Elton John
With over 250 million record sales and a career spanning almost 40 years, Rod Stewart is the consummate performer.
So it is with no small amount of pleasure that The Frontier Touring Company and Roundhouse Entertainment announce Rod Stewart’s return to Australia and New Zealand in February/ March 2008 for his first tour here in over three years.
The 2008 tour of Australia and New Zealand will see Rod playing arena shows in both countries plus a series of ‘a day on the green’ winery concerts in Australia.
Over the course of Rod’s career the accolades haven’t slowed down. A Grammy Award winner, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and most recently a UK Music Hall of Fame inductee – each achievement attests to Rod’s considerable skill as a performer and his unflagging popularity.
One of rock music’s most enduring artists, Rod Stewart has produced hit after hit over the years; Maggie May, Every Picture Tells A Story, Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?, You Wear It Well, Stay With Me - the list is endless!
Rod Stewart’s 2005 tour drew rave reviews from the critics.
The Sydney Morning Herald declared he still had the “skill and cheek to keep an audience entertained.”
The Australian were equally smitten, gushing: “Stewart’s delivery was gift-wrapped with enough heart and soul to make it a Valentine’s Day to remember.”
And The West Australian bowed before their leader, dubbing Rod “God Stewart”.
Time after time Rod Stewart sells out shows in Australia and New Zealand, and no doubt this will not be an exception. Don’t miss your chance to see Rod Stewart live in concert this February/March!
