Kaiser Chiefs - Australia 2007

KAISER CHIEFS
RETURNING THEIR RIOT TO AUSTRALIA THIS JULY/AUGUST
It's no secret that Australia loves the Kaiser Chiefs. Their first tour, as support for the Foo Fighters, drew critical acclaim and saw their only headline show sell out in mere hours. Their second tour returned them to Australian shores earlier this year, and, proving that our love hadn't waned, every ticket was snapped up in under ten minutes leaving many fans devastated at missing out.
But you should be devastated no longer, as The Frontier Touring Company is ecstatic to announce that the Kaiser Chiefs will return Down Under this July and August! Already announced as headliners on the Splendour in the Grass Festival bill, the Kaiser Chiefs will also take the rest of Australia on a rock n roll rollercoaster when they perform headline shows in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Kaiser Chiefs return to Australia riding high on the success of their sophomore album Yours Truly, Angry Mob (Universal Music). The album was their first number one album in the UK, and it also topped the charts in Greece and Holland, whilst landing in the Top Ten of our own ARIA chart.
The Guardian declared Yours Truly, Angry Mob the Kaiser Chiefs’ “application for recognition as one of the decade's major UK bands.” Spin were also drawn under their spell, announcing: “With such sharp detail, Kaiser Chiefs have elevated themselves from a singles band to a group that's capable of both having a laugh and making a focused statement about life's less gleeful side.”
However it's not only the Kaiser Chief's recordings bringing listeners to their knees. Their last Australian tour drew rave reviews, with Beat Magazine gushing: “...it was during the so-good-it's-almost-Stephen Dorff new single Ruby – again, cue well-warranted massive sing-along, and I Predict A Riot – where Wilson crowd-surfed to the bar, led the room in a chorus, nailed a scotch and headed back over the heads of the unwashed faithful, that you realised how good the Kaiser are.”
In the past, every single Kaiser Chiefs show in Australia has sold out, and these shows will be no exception. Don't miss your chance to be a part of the riot!
Pre-sale tickets will be available to Frontier Members from noon AEST Thursday 10 May to noon AEDST Friday 11 May (or until the pre-sale allocation is exhausted).

WOLF & CUB AND OPERATOR PLEASE CONFIRMED AS TOUR SUPPORT
It’s with great pleasure that The Frontier Touring Company announces Wolf & Cub and Operator Please as support for the Kaiser Chiefs' tour in July/August. Setting the music world on fire over the last 12 months, Wolf & Cub and Operator Please are undoubtedly two of Australia’s most talented, and promising, young bands.
It took little time for Wolf & Cub to assert themselves as a dominant music force. Their psychedelic indie rock and two-drummer approach quickly set them apart from the pack, and Wolf & Cub launched themselves at the world. The Big Day Out, Falls, Homebake and Meredith Music Festivals have all been graced by Wolf & Cub with their sets drawing thousands. Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age was similarly impressed, handpicking the band as support for their Australian tour. Wolf & Cub’s debut album, Vessels (Dot Dash/Remote Control Records) met with critical acclaim upon its release in 2006, and was later released overseas by legendary label 4AD. Recently finishing a tour of Japan and Europe with Wolfmother, there’s no doubt these boys will be in the fine form when they take to the stage with the Kaiser Chiefs.
The last 12 months have also been a fairytale for Operator Please. From relative unknowns playing local haunts in Brisbane, these teenagers have become one of the Australian bands to watch in ’07. National tours with Dappled Cities Fly, Ground Components, a major label deal, supporting Modest Mouse, playing shows across the US and UK, and gracing the Big Day Out stage are just a few of the feathers Operator Please have collected thus far.
Make sure you don’t miss Australia’s finest supporting the Kaiser Chiefs this July/August!
Pre-sale tickets will be available to Frontier Members from noon AEST Thursday 10 May to noon AEST Friday 11 May (or until the pre-sale allocation is exhausted).
