Wyatt Flores crafts the kinds of songs you can listen to crossing state lines on the way to a new beginning. Growing up immersed in music, he learned guitar as a kid. He gave college a shot, spending a trimester at OSU before leaving amid the Global Pandemic. He doubled down on his dream though, during a day job on a ranch, he even scrawled out tune ideas in the tractor. After dropping ‘Travelin’ Kid’, he captivated audiences via The Hutson Sessions EP with standout single ‘Please Don’t Go’, which gathered 80 million-plus Spotify streams and scaled the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, the Mexican-American artist established himself as one of country music’s most vital voices with the release of three EPs, including Half Life, released in 2023 to widespread critical attention. The New York Times praised, “Wyatt Flores…Has a Superpower: Tapping Emotions,” while Holler proclaimed, “Flores at his gloriously life-affirming, existential best.”
In October 2024 he released his eagerly anticipated full-length debut album, Welcome To The Plains (Island Records). Produced by Beau Bedford (Orville Peck, Shane Smith & The Saints) Welcome To The Plains details Flores’ journey as he balances the struggle of leaving his hometown of Stillwater, Oklahoma with the highs and lows of life on the road. Across 14 tracks Flores delivers the grounded and sincere storytelling he’s celebrated for, seamlessly blending traditional country and folk sounds. In celebration of the release, he made his late-night television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert performing ‘Oh Susannah.’

The album’s release capped off a breakout 2024 for Flores, who was recognised as one of Rolling Stone’s 25 ‘Future of Music’ artists, received a nomination for Emerging Act of the Year at the 2024 Americana Honors & Awards, was selected as Amazon’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year, was included in Spotify’s Hot Country Class of 2024 and CMT’s Listen Up class, and made his Grand Ole Opry debut. Additionally, Flores has garnered over 575 million streams to date, had his song ‘Before I Do’ with Jake Kohn featured on the soundtrack for the new Twisters movie, performed an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and released his first live album Live At Cain’s Ballroom.
