Victor Ray announces debut East Coast Australian shows for April 2025

    31 Jan 2025

MG Live and Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce British musician Victor Ray debut Australian shows for April 2025.

“I’ve always wanted to visit Australia, and now I get to play shows to you guys there!! So excited for this!” - Victor Ray

The London-based pop and soul artist will play headline shows at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday 2 April, Melbourne’s Prince Bandroom on Friday 4 April and The Triffid, Brisbane on Saturday 5 April.

Frontier Member presale commences Monday 3 February from 11am local time before tickets go on sale Wednesday 5 February from 11am local time. Tickets via frontiertouring.com/victorray

“his star shines brighter with every subsequent release” - Clash

“one of the most breathtaking young talents of today.” - BET

Born in Uganda and raised in Newcastle (UK), Victor has absorbed the singer-songwriter tradition that has always been ingrained in Newcastle’s live music scene. Across his music, there’s one undeniable through line: storytelling. From first loves to heartbreak and deeply personal family history, he is unapologetically honest in his lyrics.

This autobiographical storytelling is evident in new single ‘Hearts Break & People Change’, released today and taken from his upcoming fourth EP release I WILL. (out April 11 via Decca Records/Capitol, pre-save here).

The new single marks the start of what is set to be another game changing year for Victor, who has already been selected as one to watch by MTV Push 2025, Amazon Music, The Independent, and BBC Radio 1 Future Artist of the Month in December.

Over 3 EP releases featuring standout tracks ‘Stay For A While’, ‘Comfortable’, ‘It Only Cost Everything’, Victor has accumulated over 150 million streams, 6.2 million social media followers, supported Teddy Swims on the European leg of his 2024 tour, and built a dedicated global fanbase.

"I’m really excited for the world to understand that there’s a lot of Black British talent and a lot of stories here in the pop world, not just in R&B and hip-hop. I want to really push the boundaries and take it as far as it can go. That way people can really aspire for more than what they feel like they’re restricted to."

Victor’s ascent to superstardom is in full flight and these debut Australian dates are certain to be the last chance fans will have to catch him in such intimate venues.
