Frontier Touring are excited to announce Toronto-based indie-pop group, Valley confirms local supports for their Australian East Coast debut tour kicking off next month!

Joining Valley as special guests on their Lost In Translation Tour will be Selfish Sons at Brisbane’s The Triffid on Tuesday 15 August, merci, mercy at Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Thursday 17 August with Shannen James opening proceedings at Max Watt’s in Melbourne on Friday 18 August.

Valley – Rob Laska, Mickey Brandolino, Alex Dimauro and Karah James - formed in 2014 and began discovering their musical style which ultimately became the melting pot of sounds that make Valley the unique alt-pop pro’s they are today.  The band have gone on to release a string of EPs, albums and singles, including their debut album MAYBE (2019), two EPs sucks to see you doing better (2020) and Last Birthday (2021) - which includes their multi-million streamed, TikTok viral track ‘Like 1999’ - and now, in 2023, the band release their latest album Lost In Translation (via Universal Music Australia, available here), featuring the singles, ‘Natural’, ‘Break For You’, ‘Throwback Tears’, ‘Good, but not together' and ‘Have a Good Summer (Without Me)’.

SELFISH SONS (BRISBANE)
Selfish Sons are a band in real life. With three members, all brothers, and a nostalgic hit of live adrenaline, what’s not to hate? Boasting undertones similar to the likes of Twenty One Pilots and The Neighbourhood, the band are renowned for their addictive noise and charismatic stage presence to match.  Singles include, ‘Get Me Down’, ‘Secondhand Emotion’, ‘Hard Enough’, ‘Sleep’ and ‘Burn (in real life)’.

MERCI, MERCY (SYDNEY)
As a teenager, merci, mercy lived in Beijing and Thailand, before moving back to Sydney. There she lived between regional Jindabyne and the coastal beachside of Dolls Point. In 2018 she put a little song called ‘Be’ on triple j Unearthed.  merci, mercy now has over 20 million streams to her name across her first two EP’s, no thank you, no thanks (2020) and is it me, or is it you? (2022) and released the singles ‘Into You’, ‘Black Cloud’ and ‘Sick To My Stomach’.  In 2023, merci, mercy shares her insanely catchy new single ‘Shovel’, written with Murph from The Wombats and trusted collaborator Chris Collins (Middle Kids, Gretta Ray).  Merci’s live show is endearing and will make you cry and laugh at the same time, from selling out her own headline shows in Australia and supporting the likes of Tai Verdes, George Ezra and Flight Facilities, she is fast becoming a must-see performer.   

SHANNEN JAMES (MELBOURNE)
There is a warmth that exudes from singer/songwriter Shannen James’s voice that is at once unique and comfortingly familiar.  A silky-smooth tone that is both disarming and effortless.  Releasing her new single ‘Breakfast With You’ in 2022, James has gone from strength to strength supporting Sycco, Slowly Slowly, Thelma Plum and a performance at the Australian Grand Prix 2022.  James released her debut EP Arrows in 2020 plus singles ‘Breakfast With You’, ‘Something In The Water’, ‘Arrows’, ‘Superstitious’, ‘This Mess’ and 2023’s ‘Stuck In The Middle’.
