Kip Moore announces headline Melbourne and Sydney shows in March 2023
16 Nov 2022Chugg Entertainment and Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce multi-platinum singer-songwriter Kip Moore will perform headline shows at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday 15 March and Sydney Hordern Pavilion on Thursday 16 March, on his anticipated third Australian visit.
The Nashville troubadour will be joined by platinum-selling US country singer-songwriter Randy Houser on his second trip down under, with both artists also set to take the stage at CMC Rocks QLD’s sold out 2023 event between Friday 17 and Sunday 19 March.
Much-loved by his loyal Australian fans, Kip Moore was last on our shores in 2018 when he took the CMC Rocks QLD festival stage along with sold out sideshows alongside Lee Brice. Known for his captivating live show and with a reputation as a fierce all-in performer, Moore never fails to deliver an unforgettable music experience. “One of country’s more thoughtful artists” (Billboard), Moore has toured the world earning acclaim and building his dedicated fanbase globally.
Praised by Noisey as “an uncompromising, genre-defying artist firing on all cylinders” Kip Moore has blazed his own trail, with “a bit more Southern rock than traditional country… to be a Kip Moore fan suddenly became a marker of your having a certain refinement in your country-music taste” (Chicago Tribune).
Splashing into the mainstream in 2012 with his double-platinum hit ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck’ and followed up with a trio of ambitious, critically acclaimed albums, Moore has established himself as a force in country music. Released in mid-2020, his fourth studio album Wild World is a revelatory collection penned as Moore travelled the globe pre-pandemic. With his latest releases ‘If I Was Your Lover’ (feat. Morgan Wade) and ‘Fire On Wheels’, Moore returns to volume-up groove-driven country anthems.
Co-written by Moore with Matt Bubel and co-produced with Jaren Johnston (The Cadillac Three) ‘If I Was Your Lover’ garnered immediate attention from fans and critics for its ear worm qualities and accompanying sultry music video.
"Moore’s churning brand of country-rock gets an amped-up dance vibe on this song.” - Billboard
“Moore rocks this one, Big Time, and steams up the speakers. The crystal-clear production and terrific beats match his passionate vocal perfectly.” - Music Row
With an inimitable voice the New York Times describes as “wholly different, thicker and more throbbing, a caldron bubbling over”, Randy Houser is in a league of his own. A captivating live performer in his own right, Houser set the stage on fire during his CMA Fest during his powerhouse performance earlier this year following multiple sold-out headlining shows. On his last Australian visit (2018), local fans showed their love for Houser, snapping up tickets to his upgraded and added headline shows in moments!
With over one billion on-demand streams, the Billboard lauded “golden-voiced Mississippi native” has chalked up three consecutive No.1 hits including ‘How Country Feels’, ‘Runnin’ Outta Moonlight’ and ‘Goodnight Kiss’. Houser also earned critical acclaim for his powerful delivery of the Top 5 smash and CMA Song of the Year-nominated ‘Like A Cowboy’. In 2016, Houser added a fourth No.1 to his catalogue with the hit single ‘We Went’.
His latest album Note To Self features ten tracks all co-written by Houser, including the lead single and title track currently climbing the charts in the US. ‘Note To Self’ marked the first taste of new music since 2019’s critically acclaimed Magnolia, with Music Row boasting “Houser makes a powerful return” and dubbing him “one of country music’s very finest vocalists”. Touching on concepts of strength and relationships, ‘Note To Self’ is “one of the most honest, raw and inspiring songs of the year” (Entertainment Focus).
This March, two of Nashville’s most dynamic live performers will touch down in Australia for two very special shows in Melbourne and Sydney. If you love country music, don’t miss your chance to experience Kip Moore and Randy Houser live in 2023!
